People v Lewis, 2019 NY Slip Op 03367 [172 AD3d 749]

May 1, 2019

Appellate Division, Second Department

[*1]

The People of the State of New York, Respondent,

v

Lennard Lewis, Appellant.

Paul Skip Laisure, New York, NY (Nao Terai of counsel), for appellant.

Eric Gonzalez, District Attorney, Brooklyn, NY (Leonard Joblove and Rhea A. Grob of counsel; Anna Arena on the memorandum), for respondent.

Appeal by the defendant, as limited by his motion, from a sentence of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Frederick Arriaga, J.), imposed September 29, 2017, upon his plea of guilty, on the ground that the sentence was excessive.

Ordered that the sentence is affirmed.

The defendant’s valid waiver of his right to appeal precludes appellate review of his contention that the sentence imposed was excessive ( see People v Bradshaw , 18 NY3d 257 , 267 [2011]; People v Lopez , 6 NY3d 248 , 255 [2006]). Dillon, J.P., Austin, Roman, Maltese and Christopher, JJ., concur..
