People v Dolson, 2022 NY Slip Op 00186 [201 AD3d 731]
January 12, 2022
Appellate Division, Second Department
[*1]
The People of the State of New York, Respondent,
v
Traquane Dolson, Appellant.
Anthony N. Iannarelli, Jr., New York, NY, for appellant.
David M. Hoovler, District Attorney, Goshen, NY (Kevin Sharp and Andrew R. Kass of counsel), for respondent.
Appeal by the defendant, as limited by his motion, from a sentence of the County Court, Orange County (William L. DeProspo, J.), imposed January 25, 2019, upon his plea of guilty, on the ground that the sentence was excessive.
Ordered that the sentence is affirmed.
The record demonstrates that the defendant knowingly, voluntarily, and intelligently waived his right to appeal ( see People v Lopez , 6 NY3d 248 , 254, 257 [2006]). The defendant’s valid waiver of his right to appeal precludes appellate review of his contention that the sentence imposed was excessive ( see id. at 255-256). Dillon, J.P., Connolly, Miller and Dowling, JJ., concur..
