People v Almonte, 2019 NY Slip Op 06505 [175 AD3d 1315]
September 11, 2019
Appellate Division, Second Department
[*1]
The People of the State of New York, Respondent,
v
Yulisa R. Almonte, Appellant.
Laurette D. Mulry, Riverhead, NY (Alfred J. Cicale of counsel), for appellant.
Timothy D. Sini, District Attorney, Riverhead, NY (Edward A. Bannan of counsel), for respondent.
Appeal by the defendant, as limited by her motion, from a sentence of the Supreme Court, Suffolk County (William J. Condon, J., at plea; Mark D. Cohen, J., at sentence), imposed April 26, 2017, upon her plea of guilty, on the ground that the sentence was excessive.
Ordered that the sentence is affirmed.
The defendant’s valid waiver of her right to appeal precludes appellate review of her contention that the sentence imposed was excessive ( see People v Lopez , 6 NY3d 248, 255-256 [2006]). Dillon, J.P., Austin, Roman, Maltese and Christopher, JJ., concur..
