Conversion as a Cause of Action in New York

“The elements of conversion are (i) the plaintiff’s possessory right or interest in property, and (ii) the defendant’s dominion over or interference with the property, to the exclusion of the owner’s rights (Pappas v Tzolis, 20 NY3d 228, 234 [2012]).” Shanghai Nonobank Fin.
