People v Calzudes, 2018 NY Slip Op 06931 [165 AD3d 972]
October 17, 2018
Appellate Division, Second Department
[*1]
The People of the State of New York, Respondent,
v
Roberto Calzudes, Appellant.
Paul Skip Laisure, New York, NY (Melissa Lee of counsel), for appellant.
Richard A. Brown, District Attorney, Kew Gardens, NY (John M. Castellano, Johnnette Traill, and Nancy Fitzpatrick Talcott of counsel; Kristin Rainis on the memorandum), for respondent.
Appeal by the defendant, as limited by his motion, from a sentence of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Gene Lopez, J.), imposed November 3, 2016, upon his plea of guilty, on the ground that the sentence was excessive.
Ordered that the sentence is affirmed.
The defendant’s valid waiver of his right to appeal precludes review of his contention that the sentence imposed was excessive ( see People v Lopez , 6 NY3d 248 , 255-256 [2006]). Rivera, J.P., Sgroi, Hinds-Radix, Brathwaite Nelson and Iannacci, JJ., concur..
