October 9, 2019
Appellate Division, Second Department
[*1]
The People of the State of New York, Respondent,
v
Krystan Martin, Appellant.
Paul Skip Laisure, New York, NY (David P. Greenberg of counsel), for appellant.
John M. Ryan, Acting District Attorney, Kew Gardens, NY (John M. Castellano and Johnnette Traill of counsel; Deanna Russo on the memorandum), for respondent.
Appeal by the defendant, as limited by his motion, from a sentence of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Karen Gopee, J., at plea; Suzanne J. Melendez, J., at sentence), imposed January 23, 2018, upon his plea of guilty, on the ground that the sentence was excessive.
Ordered that the sentence is affirmed.
The defendant’s valid waiver of his right to appeal precludes appellate review of his contention that the sentence imposed was excessive ( see People v Bradshaw , 18 NY3d 257, 264-267 [2011]; People v Ramos , 7 NY3d 737, 738 [2006]; People v Lopez , 6 NY3d 248, 255 [2006]; People v Stanley , 99 AD3d 955 [2012]).
